Business Continuity Management (BCM)
Conducted by Mr. Tay Kim Yam Click for Lecturer Profile

Why should you attend?

An organization that is BCM-ready is highly regarded by customers and business partners as it demonstrates itself to be a reliable and sustainable partner in the event of high impact events which may threaten the ability of the company to continue critical business operations. The spectre of flu pandemics and terrorism – coupled with age-old threats such as fire, flood and other natural, man-made or technological disasters – means that the risks facing organizations are perhaps greater than ever before. And these risks can translate into disruptions and compromise the viability of businesses. Faced with greater attention and demands from regulators, shareholders and customers, BCM is no longer just an audit comment but an essential part of maintaining a business edge. By adopting and implementing a BCM framework and the accompanying processes, organizations can confidently provide critical or essential services to their customers whilst fulfilling regulatory and legal obligations. Not having a comprehensive BCM program is no longer an option.
  • Understand and appreciate the key pillars of a BCM program, good practices and BC/DR standards.
  • Apply and implement an effective BCM program.
  • Identify key success factors and risks associated with a BCM program and avoid common mistakes and pitfalls.
  • Validate and improve on the effectiveness of existing BCM programs.
